Since 1990, the United States of the World has had a representative office in Naples with an annexed library - in addition to the one in Via Depretis - for institutional and cultural activities. Located in Mergellina (Naples), it is a landmark of high culture and has been attended by Heads of State, Nobel Prize winners and academics from all over the world. The free loan was renewed today with a special registered deed.
A delegation of the "United States of the World" led by Prof. Ahmed Jebli travelled to Dakar in Senegal to present the "Constitution of the United States of the World" - approved on 18 November 2022 - and to illustrate the guidelines of the action plan, particularly those concerning the "United States of Africa" and ecological conversion. The delegation was received by Senegalese President Macky Sall.
The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the "Civil Forum" held in Naples from 10 to 12 December 1997 was held at the headquarters of the "United States of the World". On that occasion, more than 3,000 representatives from many countries - including Heads of State and Government, Regional Presidents, Mayors, University Rectors and others - laid the foundations for the realisation of the "United States of the World": from the Anthem to the Flag, from the Symbol to the first aims were adopted by the delegates present on that occasion.
Welcomed by the Secretary General prof. Michele Capasso, the Director Alessandra dal Verme, accompanied by the Regional Director Mario Parlagreco and other officials, visited some emotional itineraries of the Museum - an "emotional" heritage of humanity - and the main institutional rooms of the "United States of the World". On this occasion, having found a coherence of views on the new way of conceiving public assets at the service of citizens, prof. Capasso proposed to present the uniqueness of the actions put in place by the “Agenzia del Demanio” (State Property Agency) to respond to the changed context, looking at the assets of the State as a wealth of the entire population. The perspective of the "United States of the World" - within the "Living Environments" and "Civilizing the Urban" areas - is the creation of value understood not only as a positive impact on the economy but, above all, as a concrete action to limit soil consumption and to reduce waste through urban and environmental regeneration interventions, to promote energy efficiency, safety from seismic risk and resilience to climate change with a view to the "ecological conversion" that since 1987 "United States of the World" have proposed to 181 countries and 16,000 member organizations and institutions.
