It is the media and audiovisual network of the various member countries of the United States of the World: an action aimed at fostering the development of cooperation relations in the film and audiovisual sector by developing and articulating its programme along the lines that guide the various actions of international bodies in favour of audiovisual cooperation; the main objective is to compare different film productions and structures that are different but have their cultural roots in a common ground.
The programme, which has been developed since 2001 in various countries, aims to stimulate the circulation of expressions of thought and art among audiences that cannot normally take advantage of such opportunities.
Cinemamed aims to fill this gap, at least partially, and to increase the public's knowledge of the respecttive cinematographies.
