In 1996, the United States of the World and the Fondazione Mediterraneo established the Mediterranean Awards (with various categories) that are granted every year to eminent personalities from the worlds of arts and culture, politics and science and social disciplines, whose actions have contributed to reducing tensions, breaking down cultural barriers and developing shared values in the Greater Mediterranean.
This Award is considered one of the most prestigious acknowledgements in the world.

The 30th Mediterranean Award of Peace for Gernika

The United States of the World awarded the prestigious “Mediterranean Award for Peace of the Thirtieth Anniversary” to the "City-martyr" of Gernika, on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the bombing.
The prestigious title - the “Totem for Peace” by sculptor Molinari - was presented in the "House of Culture" in Gernika by Secretary-General Michele Capasso and Pia Molinari to the mayor of Gernika - Lumo José Maria Gorroño Etxebarrieta. Among those present were two survivors of the massacre, Cruzita Etxabe and Maria Carmen Aguirre, citizens and representatives of the institutions.

Amina Bouayach receives the "Mediterranean Award"

At a ceremony held at the Naples headquarters of the United States of the World, the "Mediterranean Award for Social Solidarity 2025" was presented to Amina Bouayach, President of the "National Council for Human Rights" of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The award, the prestigious work "Totem for Peace" by sculptor Mario Molinari, was presented by Secretary-General Prof. Michele Capasso and Pia Molinari, in the presence of the President of the Council of Ambassadors Abdelhak Azzouzi, Morocco's Ambassador to the Holy See Rajae Naji Mekkaoui, Consul General M'hammed Khalil and ambassadors from various countries and members of the United States of the World.
The motivation was read out in Italian, Arabic and French.
On this occasion, the title of "Ambassador of the United States of the World" was presented to Amina Bouayach.

H.E. Fouzi Lekjaa receives the Mediterranean Award

During a ceremony held at the premises of the Euromed University of Fez, the "Mediterranean Prize Culture 2024" was awarded to H.E. Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate for the Budget of the Kingdom of Morocco and a reference point for sports culture in the Maghreb country.
The Award - the work "Totem for Peace" by sculptor Mario Molinari, symbol of the United States of the World - was presented by Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso, in the presence of Pia Molinari, ambassadors from various countries and members of the United States of the World.
Present in the hall were over two thousand students from the Euromed University of Fez.
