Meeting with the committee for the 30th anniversary of Srebrenica

A meeting was held at the headquarters of the Srebrenica Memorial to define common activities, as planned in Naples on 6 June 2025.
Participants included Secretary-General Michele Capasso, Pia Molinari, the President of the Committee for the 30th Anniversary of the Genocide Hamdija Fejzić, Munira Subašić, Nura Begović, Fadila Efendić, Šuhra Sinanović, Kadefa Muhić and Sadeta Suljić representing the Mothers of the Victims of Srebrenica, the Director of the Memorial and other representatives of local bodies.
Various initiatives were agreed upon on this occasion:

The realisation of the monumental work ‘Totem for Peace’ to be dedicated to the victims of the genocide: on this theme, it was decided to build it outside and at the beginning of the Memorial complex and the cemetery in Potočari.
The creation of a Museum and a book to be dedicated to the ‘Mothers of Srebrenica’, as a first example to be later extended to the mothers of all victims of conflicts in the world..
