From Gernika to Naples: for Pope Francis and for peace

At the conclusion of the celebrations for the 88th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika and the launching of the United Nations - UNAOC programme "Call for Peace Against War" it was decided to hold the second stage in Naples on 7 June 2025, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Shrine with the relics of the victims of wars to Pope Francis: the ‘Totem for Peace’ by sculptor Mario Molinari symbolising the United States of the World.
Symbolically, 3 doves were released towards Naples by the UN Secretary General - UNAOC, the Mayor of Gernika and representatives of "Religions for Peace".
